Tips to help you conquer difficult skinnies on your MTB – Featuring Twisted Sister on Mt Penn

Dan and I took a ride to see all the new skinnies on a trail called Twisted Sister at Mt Penn in Reading PA. The difficulty level ranged from beginner to expert, including one that was over 30 ft long, 3 ft off the ground, with a high consequence teeter totter built in.

I’m fairly comfortable riding skinnies but Dan was less confident. This gave us a unique opportunity to talk about our approach and mindset when tackling these features. I also provide a few tips and tricks that I use when riding skinnies.

Huge shout out to Dane and Fred for building and maintaining these awesome features!

Twisted Sister is labeled Green on Trailforks, however the skinnies range from easy to difficult, so proceed with caution when attempting them and use common sense.
