The American Classic Basanite is a great $50 MTB tire! But are they worth the wait?

With tire prices sky rocketing over the last couple years I started looking for a less expensive option. I found these on Amazon and decided to give them a shot, and I gotta tell you these tires are awesome! They perform just as good, if not better than my Continental Der Baron’s I was running previously.

The tread pattern grips well and doesn’t get bogged down with debris. It reminds me a lot of the Maxxis Minions, so if you like that style of tire then this could be a great option for you.

Whether I’m ripping a fast downhill, or picking my way through a technical rock garden, these tires inspire confidence and chew up anything I throw at it.  No matter if the terrain was nice and packed down or loose and gravelly, I never feel out of control.  Over the last 8 months of riding, they have performed above and beyond my expectations.

In summary, the American Classic Basanite is a great inexpensive mountain bike tire built for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing. If you can find them in-stock they are 100% worth checking out.
