The Gravity Flow Trails at Bean Peaks Were Amazing!!! – MTB Prescott, AZ – Just Ride Ep. 47

The MTB gravity flow trails at Bean Peaks were amazing, especially the newly built Supreme Bean, and the classic OG trail Magic Bean. The climb trails are graded so nicely I had no problem on my analog bike. The downhill runs are bike park worthy with tables, doubles and big juicy berms. For more trail detail see below. I would highly recommend this park to anyone of any skill level looking for a day of fun on mountain bikes!

We parked at the MTB Gravity Flow Trails lot (link below) which was a good size, had a bathroom, and an overfill lot across the driveway. Trails are labeled clearly and trail maps are located in several key spots all throughout the park. The Green trails are perfect for beginners with long sweeping slopes and small tables. The Blue trails are filled with a variety of tables and doubles making it suitable for intermediate as well as advanced riders.

We started with a 3 mile climb up Limey Bean to reach Cool Beans. This trail had some cool sections, but was exhausting due to all the climbing and flat sections. I would probably skip this trail and head straight to Supreme Bean which is another mile up. This trail was the highlight of our day! The tables and doubles were built so well it did not take much effort to figure out the right speed. There is a small climb section in the middle, but it’s worth it because the second half is just as much fun as the first.

We ended the day with several laps on Magic Bean which was also really well built and unlike Supreme Bean, easily sessionable from the lot. In fact, I would probably start with this trail if I were to come back because it is a great warm up. The three tables at the end are quite big and took about three laps to finally clear.

A lot of Arizona is so rocky and technical that it was nice to find some purpose built flow trails. The trail advocates and volunteers do an excellent job maintaining the trails and are constantly improving them (see link below). I know technically no eMTBs are allowed because it is a National Forest, however I saw a ton of people riding them there with no issue. I hope they change that rule because honestly this place is perfect for eMTBs!
