The Jumbo Jim is a fast, durable, light tire that can be used all-year, in all conditions. It doesn’t do one thing great, but it does many things well.
For me, I wanted a tire that I could rely on to get the job done no matter where, or what I was riding. And because I enjoy riding my fat bike throughout the year, I wanted the lightest possible option without sacrificing durability. However, these tires are not for everyone. The minimal tread and lighter casing could be a show stopper for some folks.
It’s really going to come down to what you value in a tire, and how you plan to use it. I’ve been running mine in the front and back of my Carver Carbo’Beast for the last two years and I have no complaints.

Why can’t you buy Jumbo Jims on their website anymore… always says out?? Bike shops all over and online retailers all have them in stock. I was given a warranty voucher from Scwalbe for free replacement on a Jumbo Jim a year ago… but their site always says out. Sounds fishy….

Sorry for the delayed response Ron. I am just seeing this. Regarding your question, I have no idea. I have always bought mine from 3rd party online shops. It suck that you have a voucher that you can’t use. Have you tried contacting them about the issue?
